Owner and Head Trainer
Building a relationship with your dog is one of the most important factors in having a happy life. A strong relationship makes training and every day interactions more enjoyable. My main goal with every dog is to first build trust. Through motivation and engagement I am able to build a trusting relationship. This allows me to work with your pet in a effective way, while also making training fun for the dogs and people.
Since 2005 I have been training and competing dogs in many different venues. Some of those include Rally Obedience, Agility, Dock Jumping, Nose Work, and Protection Sports. Over the years, I have mentored several trainers and attended seminars. Through mentors and seminars I can increase my knowledge and skills in the training field. I thrive off of new information, and I am always looking for new and better ways to be a more effective trainer. Through this knowledge I have found great joy in improving the lives of people and their pets.
I have had the opportunity to work with many breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments. One of my favorite opportunities is the ability to raise a couple puppies every year. Some grow up to be service dogs, and others are active family and protection dogs. Puppies to me are something special! Having the ability to teach them early on through relationship building games, how to interact in the big world and how to work with their humans is very gratifying.
My goal is to help you, the owners, strengthen the bond with your pets! Training, setting boundaries, and making sure your pet gets the exercise they need can create a happier life for all of you!
